I drew everything in grayscale first and then lazily added colour over it, which is why the whole thing looks like a fricking colourated photograph. You might also see that some things i actually took care to draw nicely, while others i didn't care, and as usual the drawing style changes with every question.

1. the one thing Denmark, Norway and Finland have in common is how much they love making fun of Sweden.
2. In 1864, Prussia and Austria invaded Denmark. Sweden and Norway did nothing. This denial of help made a lot of people very angry, such as the norwegian playwright Henrik Ibsen who left the country after this.
3. Basically, don't fuck with Finland.
4. As long as he can't hear Norway's nagging, he's happy enough. I portray Iceland as a typical teenager here.
5. Fish is the thing other than oil that Norway earns money on.
6. Immature teenager iceland strikes again. I just can't see him actually doing any kind of serious crime, so i picked the most childish thing i could think of.
7. He survives, but barely
8. Poor finland is gonna have one hell of a job with fixing the mess the Scandinavians are going to make... ("alone? you have my sword""and my money""and my lego!")

11. I didn't think I had any OC's so I made up a bunch. then i remembered i actually have several, though none very important or well-developed. here's some information about them:

• Åland: Previously featured here: fav.me/d805ydy I changed his look a bit - he has passed that difficult phase by now. He is pretty much the child of Sweden and Finland, and had a lot of pressure put on him when his "parents" were separated. 15 years old. Is a fairly quiet person
• Svalbard: Female, 14 years old. Her interests are scientifically observing the sky and mining coal. Often rides around on a huge polar bear, which I sadly couldn't fit into this picture.
• Gotland: A total country bumpkin with a weird accent. He used to be fairly influential during the middle ages. Likes sheep and old relics. 14 years old. has a warm and nice climate.
• Skåne/Scania: Female, 13. Used to be part of Denmark, but was then taken by Sweden during the 17th century. At first, she hated it and fought against him, but nowadays she gets on well with both Sweden and Denmark.
• pan-scandinavia: A representation of Scandinavia as a whole. He was born in the late 1830s, but is said to have died in 1864. In fact, some claims he never existed at all. Yet somehow he has been observed on several occasions up until this day. A ghost?
• Slesvig/Schleswig: a girl, but pretty tomboyish. Half danish and half German. 13 years old.
• Holstein: Schleswigs older, more german brother. 16 years old. I count him as a nordic-related OC since he has a long history with both Sweden and Denmark. Holstein and Slesvig are supposed to feature in the sequel to "1814", but at the moment I doubt I will be able to make that one any time soon.
• I also had two unnamed german states under swedish rule in the first part of my "End of the Swedish Empire"-series.

13. Scandinavians love warm and sunny places, but they're not really cut out for them
14. I'm sure China will take care of it
15. Sweden, world record holder in peace. Just reminding us all that he hasn't always been that good at it. Meanwhile, Norway goes all "Frozen"

17. Both of those countries have a fair amount of wilderness of whom they are rightly proud, so they will be fine. they pass the time grilling marshmallows while tryign to scare each other with ghost stories.
18. *War flashbacks* He always does this. When the road to east is blocked, go west. (In 1714, Russia occupied all of Finland, what does Sweden do? Try to invade Norway in 1716 and 1718. In 1809, Russia takes Finland, what does Sweden do? join the sixth coalition with a promise of getting Norway in return)
19. During their union, Norway probably spent a lot of time trying to make a fool out of Sweden.

22. I told you that's what happens when Russia takes Finland. You're not fooling anyone though Finland you probably fucked Russia.
